Supply Chain Manager

We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize our end-to-end supply chain operations. This role is an exciting opportunity to support our growing Odfjell Drilling (ODL) business area. You will work closely with the Odfjell Drilling organisation and develop procurement strategies, identify and drive improvements and enter contracts on their behalf. Close supplier dialogue, negotiations, and follow-up will be core tasks. Additional SCM responsibilities for other business areas may apply if prioritised.

You will be formally employed in Odfjell Technology, Global Business Support (SCM), while the daily reporting line will be within the Odfjell Drilling business.

 Key Responsibilities

 

Performance responsibilities for position

  • Work in close collaboration with the Odfjell Drilling organisation on supply chain related matters
  • Coordinate closely with the GBS SCM function to secure sufficient capacity and execution of all supply chain tasks
  • Ensure frame agreements are tailored for Odfjell Drilling operations and operationalised in relevant systems
  • Liaise with relevant Odfjell Drilling and other SCM personnel to secure the best follow-up of critical suppliers
  • Train operational teams in contract usage and compliance
  • Proactively look for improvements and drive initiatives related to this
  • Support alignment with strategic objectives and QHSSE standards

 Strategy, action plan and procedures

  • Conduct market and spend analysis on relevant portfolio
  • Perform prequalification, due diligence and performance evaluation of suppliers
  • Perform procurement activities according to procedures

 Client relations (internal and external)

  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Facilitate close working relationships with internal customers and suppliers
  • Coordinate with QHSSE on SCM safety issues

 Social responsibilities

  • Promote a positive working environment
  • Contribute to environmental and social responsibility goals
  • Record discrepancies and suggest corrective measures
  • Ensure lessons learned are documented and shared

 Systems

  • Use required systems and programs to ensure effectiveness and quality
  • Ensure procedures, contract systems, and routines are followed and improved

 Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or extensive documented experience
  • 7+ years of experience in the oil & gas service industry
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Experience building and managing business partnerships in an international context
  • In-depth industry knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Strategic thinker with influencing skills
  • Proficiency with relevant IT tools and systems
