We are seeking an ambitious professional with a few years of experience to join our team and contribute to our success.
This role, reporting to the VP Business Development, will support the company’s ambition to consolidate and grow its position, domestically and internationally, within the offshore drilling industry in alignment with the strategy.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for representing the company to our customers, managing proposals and sales activities to a global customer base.
Please note, this role requires international travel. Depending on business needs, flexibility and availability on short notice are required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve existing and potential customer relationships to ensure we consistently meet requirements and expectations
- Develop, submit and manage quotations, technically, contractually, and commercially, involving all stakeholders (engineering, purchasing, operations, commercial, legal, insurance) from prospect to contract
- Follow up enquiries and successfully negotiate contracts directly with customers
- Present our products to all levels within customer organisations
- Maintain comprehensive customer and enquiry records and collate market intelligence and share internally with stakeholders
- Thoroughly understand the market and key customers
- Represent the business at key trade events and industry relevant conferences/seminars
- Contribute to Odfjell Drilling’s overall strategy for business development
Qualifications and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the role has a strong commercial mindset, great analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent negotiation skills with good understanding of contractual terms and conditions
- A higher education degree is preferred, but relevant experience, including internal training, will also be considered a qualification
- Irrespective of your background, we expect that you have knowledge about the offshore oil industry, industry trends and understands customer drivers, needs and requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to build positive relationships at all levels and take part in cross–functional projects and task forces
- You are fluent in written and spoken English
