Subsea Technicians – Modu

Odfjell Drilling is now recruiting Subsea Technicians that are motivated and qualified to work in teams with offshore and onshore colleagues.

• SPS subsea equipment overhaul, and be a resource that aim to deliver work as described with high quality and  ownership.

• The Subsea Technicians will be utilized on Odfjell Drilling operated rigs based in Norway. 

•Mainly offshore, but onshore warehouse inspection and equipment maintenance may occure.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Mechanical/ hydraulic/ electrical education is preferred. Extensive work experience can replace formal education. Documented all-round experience from maintenance of subsea Well control systems/ pressure control equipment, motion compensating equipment, preferable work experience from onshore / offshore subsea equipment. Good English & Norwegian communication skills, both oral and written. Sufficient computer skills.


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist Subsea Engineer offshore and assist Subsea Superintendent onshore according to the Odfjell Core values and procedures. Perform maintenance/repairs to the well control, motion compensating systems and all associated systems as per Odfjell maintenance program and procedures. Adhere to the Odfjell Procedures and Core Values and familiarize himself/herself with these. Participate in between well maintenance periods. Assist drill crew when required.
Subsea Technician may be utilized onshore for example for preservation, inspections, and repair of subsea equipment.


AUTHORITY

The Subsea Technician is authorised to report non-conformances. The Subsea Engineer is authorised to take all necessary steps to maintain and ensure safe working conditions within his area of responsibility.

Offshore Subsea Engineer & Onshore Subsea Superintendent.
