Job Description

Role Purpose: 
Subject Matter Experts (SME) shall take the lead role in the maintenance, establishment, and verification of systems as appropriate within their area of expertise and responsibility

We are looking for SME candidates within three different disciplines, Marine Machinery, Electrical Systems and Drilling Systems.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaison between Discipline Responsible, Operational organisations and Maintenance management team.
  • Support and participate in feasibility studies and projects related to discipline.
  • Optimization and reliability evaluations related to maintenance- and spare part management.
  • Assist within implementation related to new maintenance strategies and concepts.
  • Execute, evaluate and monitor compliance towards relevant rules and regulations.
  • Evaluate and follow up OEM, internal experience transfer and bulletins.
  • Assist Operations and project management in planning, development and implementation of any changes/upgrades in the maintenance program.
  • Inform own and cooperate with other disciplines as necessary and contribute to their performance.
  • Provide Operational support, audit and coach rig organization within above mentioned duties

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:

  • Higher technical education (MSc, BSc or equivalent). Relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education.
    Relevant work experience related to mobile offshore units is required.
  • The position requires competence within project execution, change management and technical operation.
  • Good understanding of maintenance and technical documentation systems as well as up to date knowledge of applicable rules and regulations.
  • In depth knowledge within relevant discipline
  • Competence within relevant IT software and systems supporting the processes.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both oral and written
