Deck Foreman/Crane Operator – MODU International

Positionsare based on a 28/28 rotation, and working worldwide.  Currently the unitsare working in Namibia, with Hercules scheduled for Canada in Q2 and Mira andBollsta remaining in the African Region.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Fluent written/oral English language
  • Systematic familiarisation/Competence Assessment(s) for position
  • Approved Offshore Crane Operator certificate
  • Documented relevant experience from fix/floating installations

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deck Foreman/Crane Operator shall be able to supervise Crane operator, Assistant Crane operator and roustabouts.
  • Deck Foreman/Crane Operator should supervise the work allocated by the Stability Section Leader among the roustabouts and must ensure the best possible use of the specialist background/expertise of individual workers.
  • Deck Foreman/Crane Operator should be responsible for loading/unloading consignment in accordance with procedures.
  • Deck Foreman/Crane Operator should ensure that maintenance is carried out and reported in accordance with procedures.
  • Deck Foreman/Crane Operator is responsible for cleaning drilling modules on deck and in specified areas.
  • Deck Foreman/Crane Operator is responsible for weekly check of washing equipment.Deck Foreman/Crane Operator is responsible for measuring/ preparing CSG/DP.
  • Deck Foreman/Crane Operator shall carry out control of goods arriving/being dispatched.
  • Deck Foreman/Crane Operator is responsible for crane flagging.
  • Deck Foreman/Crane Operator is responsible for daily/weekly maintenance routines.
  • Deck Foreman/Crane Operator is responsible for implementing orders from Rig Superintendent/Toolpusher to secure an safe and efficient drilling operation.
  • Deck Foreman/Crane Operator is responsible for ensuring that the work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Deck Foreman/Crane Operator is responsible for the training of new roustabouts.
  • Deck Foreman/Crane Operator is responsible for order and cleaning in own areas.
  • Deck Foreman/Crane Operator is responsible for all transport of equipment by crane within the drilling area.
  • Deck Foreman/Crane Operator shall be flexible in his/her job and provide assistance when such is deemed to be necessary by the Rig Superintendent/Stability Section Leader.
