Odfjell Drilling (UK) Ltd was awarded a five-year contract with three two-year options from BP for drilling and maintenance services in 2009. Odfjell Drilling (UK) Ltd is currently operating five platforms for BP on the UK Continental Shelf in the North Sea.
Andrew
Andrew is located approximately 230 kilometres North East of Aberdeen and covers an area of 27 square kilometres, spanning licence blocks 16/27a and 16/28. BP discovered the field with its first well in 1974 and ConocoPhillips confirmed a westerly extension in 1975.
Bruce
Bruce was discovered in June 1974 in acreage licensed to BHP in the 4th licensing round. Condensate, a light crude that exists as gas under reservoir conditions, was found 4000 meters below the seabed in a water depth of 121 meters.
Clair
The Clair reservoir was discovered in 1977 and is the largest discovered, but not yet producing, hydrocarbon resource on the UKCS. The field is located 75 km West of Shetland in water depths of up to 150m and extends over an area of some 220km2.
Magnus
The Magnus Oilfield was discovered in March 1974 in acreage licensed to BP in the 4th licensing round. Oil was found 2,709 meters below the seabed in a water depth of 186 meters. Magnus is the UK's most northerly field, located 160 kilometers NE of the Shetland Islands, mainly in Block 211/12a. The reservoir is estimated to contain 1.54 billion barrels of oil, of which 869 million (56%) are recoverable.
Harding
Harding was discovered in February 1987 in acreage licensed to Britoil in the 9th licensing round. Oil was discovered in the Eocene at a depth of approximately 1,850 meters below the seabed in a water depth of 100 meters. It covers an area of approximately 20 square kilometers.
