Management of Songa Trym and Songa Delta
Odfjell Drilling manages the drilling units Songa Trym and Songa Delta on behalf of the owner Songa Offshore. The rigs are operated on the Norwegian Continental Shelf for the 2 different operators.
Songa Trym and Songa Delta were sold from Odfjell Drilling to Songa Offshore in 2007 and 2008, respectively. The rigs were already on contract with operators at the time of purchase and Odfjell Drilling will remain the manager until the contracts expire.
Songa Delta is contracted to a consortium of Det norske and Wintershall, but also managed by Odfjell Drilling until February 2012.
Managing ultra premium jack-ups
As part of our growth strategy and focus on the Middle East market, Odfjell Drilling Services LLC is locally prequalified for managing two ultra premium jack-ups, delivering drilling services for Al-Khafji Joint Operations (KJO) in the neutral zone between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
