Odfjell Drilling has been awarded a significant contract award with BP for the provision of a new build, semi-submersible drilling unit for use in the UK’s West of Shetland region.
Deepsea Atlantic was delivered in February 2009. The sixth generation deep water and harsh environment semisubmersible now operates under a long-term contract with Statoil on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
Deepsea Stavanger, the new sixth generation deepwater and harsh environment semisubmersible, was delivered July 2010. The rig is operating for BP offshore Angola.
The semi submersible drilling rig Deepsea Bergen is operating under a three year contract with Statoil for development and exploration drilling in the Halten Nordland area on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS). Odfjell Offshore has 71.52% ownership share of Deepsea Bergen.
Deepsea Metro I is an ultra deep water drillship of Gusto Design. The vessel was delivered by Hyundai Heavy Industries in South Korea in June 2011. Deepsea Metro I is operating offshore Tanzania under a drilling contract with the BG Group.
Deepsea Metro II is an ultra deep water drillship of Gusto Design and was delivered 25th November 2011 from Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) in South Korea.
