The drillship project has reached a new milestone as the steel cutting for Deepsea Metro 1 commenced on schedule on 17th November 2009.
Since the signing of the contract in February 2008, the company has established good cooperation with Metrostar in this joint cooperation for the building of two drillships. Delivery date for the first vessel is 31st May 2011.Odfjell Drilling Technology is responsible for the management and delivery of both vessels.It is with great pride and confidence we are now entering the construction phase that was marked by the steel cutting.
