20th of December 2011 Odfjell Drilling and The Norwegian Red Cross signed a three year cooperation agreement. Odfjell Drilling will support the “International emergency aid and disaster prevention” project.
“We hope this will increase our employees’ knowledge and engagement in relation to the countries and areas where Odfjell Drilling operate. We are looking forward to our collaboration,” says CEO of Odfjell Drilling Simen Lieungh.
Odfjell Drilling has chosen this project because of the strong link to the company’s concepts of emergencies preparedness and the environment globally. This aid goes to the heart of the Red Cross’ work, contributing helping those who need it most.
The goal is expertise sharing
Odfjell Drilling is growing internationally and the need for information about new areas are valuable. Through its knowledge of local conditions, the Red Cross can contribute a great deal in this regard. The goal of the collaboration is to achieve an exchange of expertise between the two organisations.
